The group that met at Christ the King Parish Center to share their faith and pray together will begin meeting again on Tuesdays at 12:30PM at St. Paul.
4 Ladies Only (4-LO), as the group name suggests, is a time for college women to come together to learn more about feminine spirituality with the TOR Sisters. 4-LO meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 3:30 PM in the lounge at St. Paul.
The TOR Sisters are leading a series called Java & Jesus for college students to rejuvenate their faith and feed their caffeine habits. Java & Jesus meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month around 1:45 PM in the lounge at St. Paul.
There are several different booklets available at both St. Paul and Christ the King churches with devotional readings. "Living Faith" is a free booklet that provides reflections based on a Scripture passage from daily Mass for the months of July, August, and September. "Give Us This Day" is also a free booklet with daily prayers and the Mass readings. "Living With Christ" is a booklet with daily prayers from the Saints, daily Mass readings, a daily reflection on the readings and faith-filled articles by award-winning contributors.
Parishes throughout the Diocese are encouraged to make a pilgrimage to the Basilica for the celebration of the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Patroness of the Diocese of Steubenville on Saturday, June 28, 2014. Confessions will be heard from 8:30 - 9:30 A.M. Mass will be offered by Bishop Jeffrey Monforton at 10:00 A.M. A continental breakfast in the Basilica Social Hall will follow the Mass, and tours of the Basilica will be offered throughout the morning.
Join our seminarian Matthew Gossett as he leads us through a series to help foster a love of scripture while exploring the fundamentals of the spiritual life. The series will cover Lectio Divina, communal prayer (Liturgy of the Hours and the sacraments), and private prayer. The series will begin on Monday, June 16, at 10:00 AM in the Parish Center and will continue on Monday mornings through the end of July.
During the month of October, the Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes before the weekend Masses at Christ the King and directly after the weekend Masses at St. Paul. Please join us during this month dedicated to the Holy Rosary by bringing your rosary with you to mass.
