Are you interested in becoming Catholic? Do you know who someone who is? Were you baptized Catholic but never received the sacrament of Confirmation? Or... are you already Catholic but a little shaky on your faith? If any of these situations apply to you, on Monday, September 8, the Athens Catholic Community will host its first RCIA meeting, "Come and See" at 7PM in the Christ the King Parish Center. The meeting will be held in the chapel.
RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. At our meetings, you will gradually be introduced to the aspects and beliefs of the Catholic Church. RCIA offers a period of reflection, prayer, discernment, instruction, and formation. It is important to attend Mass regularly and come to our weekly meetings so that you may become increasingly more involved and aware of the Catholic way of life.
Our RCIA program will meet on Monday evenings at 7PM at Christ the King Parish Center. If you have any questions about RCIA, please contact Greg Kremer ([email protected]) or Deacon Dan Murray ([email protected]).
