I would like to express my sincere thank you to all the women who have taken part in the Catholic Women's Club activities during our 2023-24 year.   We had a very successful year of parish and spiritual activities. Our calendar of activities for the 2024-25 year will resume again in September with our Fall Reception.

The Catholic Women's Club is an organization of Catholic women found in almost every Catholic diocese and parish community. Every woman in the parish is considered a member and is invited to be a part of the CWC.  The mission of the CWC is to provide service and leadership to promote parish life and spiritual growth within ourselves and the parish. 

The Athens CWC has two fundraising projects each year. The Christmas Cookie Bake Sale is held annually in December. For a full week leading up to the event, the women of the parishes (and some men too!) gather in the Holy Family Center to bake cookies, kolache, and other seasonal favorites.  

The CWC also offers for sale holiday cards for Christmas and Easter and note cards for other occasions including sympathy, Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation. The cards feature images from our own churches alongside Catholic prayers and refelctions. Proceeds from these fundraisers allow the Women's Club to support a variety of parish and community interests in Athens, including: 

•       Sponsoring and Organizing Sacramental Receptions

• Sponsoring and Organizing Funeral Luncheons 

• Sponsoring and Organizing the Parish Thanksgiving Dinner

• Support of an Athens CWC program, The Rosary Project

• Providing items for the Epiphany House Blessing

• Support for the Youth Group

• Support for OU Catholics

• Financial and prayer support for Seminarians

• Donations to Fr. Marty's Kenya St. Jude Project

• Donations to the Pregnancy Resource Center
