Over the next several weeks, Fr. Mark's bulletin inserts will focus on the the history of the parishes in Athens. The weekly installments will culminate with some pastoral thoughts and questions that Fr. Mark asks all parishioners to prayerfully keep in mind in the coming weeks. 

The first installment of this history is featured in the May 7 bulletin. It lays the groundwork for how St. Paul and Christ the King came to be independent parishes under Msgr. Kish and Fr. Cronin. It also highlights how the current parish buildings came to be, based on the needs of the Catholic population in Athens. 

The May 14 installment will focus on the consolidation process that took place between 2007-2011 under Msgr. Patrick Gaughan and Fr. Martin Holler.
